Creating Customized Home Environments

Every individual deserves a home in which they feel comfortable.  They shouldn’t worry about being injured or encountering restrictions of use throughout their space.  Through design features that maximize independence, Modified Living Spaces customizes solutions that bring functionality to each individual’s home living space.   Our process includes gathering insights from the family, caregivers, and professionals.  It allows us to eliminate the challenges associated with physical disabilities and sensory differences so that the space is transformed into a safe environment that addresses the needs, safety, and comfort of the client and their caregivers.

We provide the expertise, guidance and support you need through each step of the process:  assessment, planning, and implementation.  We strive to better the living experience for each client by addressing and solving their unique health, safety, mobility, and sensory needs.

We offer:

  • Home assessments to identify issues and develop solutions.
  • Design assistance.
  • Creative & customized floor plans.
  • Preparation of bid packages.
  • Solicitation of contractor and vendor bids.
  • Cost estimating assistance.
  • Budget management.
  • Construction supervision.
  • Final walk through to ensure identified needs are met.

Examples of modifications include:

  • Low rise steps and handrails

  • Bathroom modifications

  • Monitoring technology and alert systems
  • Fences
  • Window protection
  • Shatterproof fixtures and mirrors
